This is going to be a great course for our 5 year old. We love just about everything about it, so first off know that. I will list the few things that either weren’t quite right or need consideration maybe for younger kids. First, it was missing one black buckle so I’ll need to contact customer support tomorrow to ask for them to send one, but I was already planning to see if we could order 6 more so that we could add a few extra activities (disc swing, rope ladder and maybe a disc swing) so no biggie there. We ordered the 65’ line because our trees are quite a distance apart, so there’s plenty of extra space for additional toys on it, should we want to add them eventually.Second, the wood bars are raw wood, and these seem like they’d be better off sealed, considering we plan to leave it up through all seasons. I borrowed leftovers from a friend’s deck sealing project and I plan to seal the wood to protect it from water and our hot, central CA summer sun. I noticed some reviews that the wood split, cracked or broke and I can’t help but wonder if weather eventually weakening the wood was responsible for that, because otherwise the wood seems quite solid and is smooth, no splintering that I could see.Run on sentence, much?? Sorry ‘bout that!Third, and this is really just the nature of the beast… you do have to hang it VERY high in order for it not to sag down… so high that it’s actually quite difficult for our 5 year old to get onto it. For this reason, we started with the low bar, with the traverse ring adjacent, which then (in theory) will take him to the cargo net. From there, good luck kid…. Don’t let go, that’s all I can say!! He’s a determined little dude, so eventually he’ll get the hang of it, I’m guessing… either that or one day I’ll look outside and see him teetering precariously stretched out from the top of a ladder he drug over there because he’s a problem solver, this one…Anyways, this is super cool. Our kid is newly 5 and extremely active and surprisingly agile... (Don’t tell anyone but according to him his is “actually, ACTUALLY, weally the weal Spiderman”…) I honestly thought this would maybe be kinda cake walk for him but still keep him busy. In actuality though, I was pleasantly surprised that it is turning out to present a great challenge for him. This gets an easy 4.85 stars;)
