The bike out of the box had pieces broken or needed repairs. Front brakes were defective had them replaced. Took the bike to bike shop for tune up & repairs just a month after buying.Now the bike peddle is broken and he only uses his bike every week weeks and his careful with his bike.I’d say you could find something better for the price.We bought this bike for my sons 10th birthday since he’d outgrown his old 20” bike. My husband had some difficulty putting it together, which really isn’t a big deal, so I spent an additional $80 at a local bike shop for a professional to do it. The guy at the bike shop strongly suggested that the bike was a piece of junk, but I remained hopeful. He assembled it, and when I picked it up later he said the front brakes squeak terribly and nothing he tried would fix it. We took it home and sure enough, horrible squealing every time my son braked. In addition, the chain has completely come off the chainwheel not once, but twice, while my son was riding. Now he won’t even ride it anymore because he’s afraid it’s going to fall apart. Complete waste of $300, not to mention a very disappointed 10 yr old. Don’t make the same mistake I did. This is the worst item I’ve ever purchased online.Very good product for the moneyThe bike needs to be put together. That can be difficult for some people. We had the squeaky front brakes but were able to just lightly sand the rim with 120 grit and the squeaking stopped completely. The chain fell off the derailleur once but I had not adjusted it correctly. It’s a decent enough bike but not high quality. Same components as a wal-mart bike, which aren’t that bad if you take care of them.
